Working to save a small life.

Working to save a small life.

Working to save a small life.

The life we have been trying to save is a kitten we call baby.  She is the last of her litter.  Baby’s story is a sad one but must be told. Maybe her story will open some people’s eyes.  Her story began about six months ago, When her mother and Aunt were left behind. The two cats once had a home but, their human family moved on. Since then they have lived on the streets. Some people tried to help the two cats by, throwing them some food from their windows. These people live in the Apartment build next to a shed that a man named Dan owns. The people living in the Apartment build would toss the cats, some food. The problem was the food was all over Dan’s yard. This made Dan very angry. He did not like cats, and he said his yard was looking like a garbage dump.  He decided to set up a cat trap. What he did not know was that the two cats had kittens in his shed. There was a total of 8 kittens. Dan trapped these kitten and their mother’s. Once he trapped them he got rid of them. He did not bring them to the SPCA. That was too far for him to go. Some people believe he throw them into the river. No one saw him. We talked to Dan and asked about the kittens. I also let him know that there was a lady named Joni. Joni was going to try and catch the cats. She was going to find them homes. A Few days later Joni called me and told me she had met with Dan. He had given her the one cat. There were still some kittens he had not cot yet. We had to go out of town to see my husband’s dad. He is not doing so good. We left the kittens in Joni’s and Dan’s hands. When we return I found an E-mail message from Joni saying she had not heard from Dan for some time. We Check into to it and, found out he was no longer at his place. He had moved on.  We also found out that there were still three kittens left.  We felt bad for them so, we decided to put out cat food.  They were too young to fend for themselves. the kitten needed a home but were. We decide we would look for a home for them.  We started telling people about the kittens. We would have loved to take them all in but, we have a large male cat.  Lynx has been fixed and he is an indoor cat.  My grandmother also has a cat.  Her cat doesn’t like any cats at all. Our cat lives down stairs with us. My grandmother’s cat lives up stair with her. I do not believe in not fixing your pets. There are too many cats and dogs that are put down every year. We did manage to find a home for two of the kittens. The third kitten did not get a new home she was too shy to catch. So she was left behind. We are still feeding her. We have decided to bring her into our home. We have set up a large kennel for her. We hope that our cat will learn to like her. If not I will try and find her a home. If our cat decides she is okay we will go and get her fixed. She will live with us and become an indoor cat. If not we will look for a new home for her. I just pray our cat will get use to her. She is blind so it will not be easy to find her a home.

People who have a love for animals. as well enjoy gardening. I also enjoy talking to people who have rare pets. I own African Albino Clawed-Frogs. I bring these frog to school to teach people about them. There is very little information about them on the web.
